Before I start, let
me share with you the type of golfer I am. First off, I am 61 years of
age. I shoot in the high 70’s through low 80’s and like most golfers
there’s the string of games where you can shoot lights out and really
score. I have had recent games where I shot par, 73, 74, and 75. Then
there is the game that goes in the opposite direction. I play on the Pepsi
Tour and Player’s Golf Tour in the indexed division and carry an index
that fluctuate between 7-9. I am a golf teaching professional with a USGTF
certification. The glove allowed me to shoot a qualifying score in the PAT
so now I can register in the PGA management program.
When I first tried
the glove I made the mistake of not going to the driving range and my
score was in the high 80’s. My drives were pure and I gained about 20-30
yards. The regular foursome that I played with were surprised to see how
well I was driving the ball because now I was up with them or past them.
They thought I had switched to a different ball. Although I didn’t score
well, I was hitting the ball solid. I overshot a lot of greens by 15-20
yards. I was in a different territory because rather than hitting a 6-7
iron into the green, I was now using an 8 or 9 iron and sometimes a
pitching wedge. Looking back I can only say that I felt a better sense of
balance, coordination, strength, and I didn’t tire out on the back nine.
It was an amazing feeling.
The second time out
with the glove, I shot a 74. I made adjustments to my approach shots and
that helped me shoot a low score. The feeling I experienced when using the
glove is that the swing became effortless and I didn’t get too anxious
or nervous on the first tee. I feel calmer when putting and it’s easier
to make a decision on the line I want to take. I felt like I could get in
the zone much easier because I wasn’t having conflicting thoughts about
how to hit my shot. With all that said, I might caution you that the
Quantum Power chip will not fix any swing faults that you may have. If you
have any swing faults, see your golf professional. Using the quantum glove
at your next lesson will make it easier to attain the necessary swing that
can move you to the next level.
The third time out,
I decided to play at an executive 9 to get a better feel for my short
game. This course has two par 4’s, 268, and 255 yards respectively. I
drove both greens. I ended up with an eagle and a birdie. Overall I had an
eagle, and 3 birdies for a total score of 24 which is 5 under par. This is
probably one of the games where everything works but boy, did I have a
good time!
